WARRENTON, Ga.- Mrs. Lillian Johnson Davis, age 89 , beloved wife of the late Hubert "Shug" Davis, died Sunday evening at Westwood Nursing Home in Evans. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at Johnson United Methodist Church, Warren County Ga. with Rev Carol Fox officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Cemetery. Mrs. Davis will lie in state for one hour prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Davis was a lifelong resident of Warren County, a homemaker, and a member of the Johnson Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the UMW Society. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother, as well as a devoted Christian, faithful church member and Sunday school teacher. Survivors include one son and daughter in law Robert H. and Carole Davis; two granddaughters Pamela D. (and husband Jeff) Stovall, and Kimberly D. (and husband Jody) Dickson; three great grandchildren Sarah Kathry n Stovall, Rachel Hammock Stovall, and Andrew Davis Stovall and one niece Helen (and husband Jake) Pollard. Pallbearers will be Jeff Stovall, Andrew Stovall, Jody Dickson, Jake Pollard, Jack Davis, and Charles Harper. Friends may call at the residence of her son Robert H. Davis at 119 Reed Creek Road, Martinez, Ga. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at Lowe Funeral Home, Warrenton, Ga.
