Mrs. Lillian Jean Dowe December 15, 1947 - February 4, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Dowe announce her sudden death on February 4, 2009, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 15, 1947, in Marystown, N.L. Jean was a very caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Jean enjoyed a very successful career in retail management. She loved life, wrote beautiful poetry, and had many hobbies, however, her greatest achievement was caring for her family. She is survived by her children, Leighann Brimicombe (Roger), Louis Dowe (Donna), and Thomas Dowe Jr.(Karen); grandchildren, Laken, Jessica, Devon, Jeffrey, and Logan; sisters, Freda Roach-Fader (Jim), Alice Adams (Bill); brother, George Mitchell (Myla). She was predeceased by her loving husband and best friend of 42 years, Thomas Dowe; her parents, Louis and Jane Mitchell; sisters, Hilda Burke and Madonna Mitchell. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Memorial service to be held on February 9, at 10 a.m., in St. Ignatius Church, Bedford Hwy. Donations can be made to the Lung Association and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We will love and cherish you always Mom.
