ALEXANDER (nee Davies), Lillian Lill passed away on February 28, 2005 in Victoria, BC after a brief bout with cancer. She was born on January 9, 1916 in Prince Rupert, BC where she lived until she moved to Victoria with her husband, Jim in 1955. Lill was predeceased by Jim in 1989, infant brother, Llewellyn and her sister, May Owens. Lill is survived by her nephews, Andy Owens (Irene) and David Owens (Carolyn); her niece, Glenys New (Norman) and their families and by her very special friends, Judy and Lloyd Christopherson. Lill's favourite times as a child were being at Shawatlans Lake near Prince Rupert each summer with her family where her father worked as an operator at a hydro electric power plant. Lill operated a hair dressing business for many years, then she and husband, Jim, who was a watchmaker, purchased and operated the Yukon Jewellers until they moved to Victoria. Lill was a long time member of the Prince Rupert Chapter of the Eastern Star, where she served a term as Worthy Matron. She was very proud of achieving her 50 year pin from that organization. A funeral service will be held at McCALL BROS. FLORAL CHAPEL, Johnson at Vancouver, on Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Lill will be laid to rest beside her loving husband, Jim at the Royal Oak Burial Park. A reception will follow at Sequoia Gardens Memorial, 4665 Falaise Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Society or the charity of one's choice. 46991
