Lila L. Miller, age 49 years, passed away Sept. 24, at the West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton following a six-year battle with cancer. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Margaret A. (Morrill) Miller. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1980, and was a 16-year employee of FootJoy in Brockton. Lila was involved with cat care and animal rights organizations. She also enjoyed reading and was active in many church activities with the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Braintree. Two brothers, Richard C. Miller of Stoughton and Peter J. Miller of Salt Lake City, Utah, survive her. A graveside service will be held Friday, Oct. 8, at 10 a.m. in the Melrose Cemetery, Pearl Street, Brockton. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, at 3 p.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 250 Washington St., Braintree. Arrangements are with the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton.
