Lester Earl Walker, 72, of Seymour passed away at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at his residence. He was born in Madison on March 28, 1937, the son of Leman and Nellie Buckles Walker. Mr. Walker was employed at Cummins Engine Co., retiring in 1987. He was a member of American Legion Post 89 in Seymour. He was a beloved son of God and loved life and his loved ones. He is survived by his daughters, Susie (Randy) O'Neill, Dana Walker and Jessie Walker; sons, Philip Walker and Chris (Stephanie) Walker; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brothers, Donald Edward Walker and Ralph Wesley Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lois Daily; brothers, Michael Dane Walker and Willis James Walker; and one grandson, Matthew Norton. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour, with Brother Roger Carr officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
