Leslie R. Age 65 of County Route 87, Hammondsport, passed away Friday, September 27, 2002 at the Bath VAMC. He was born September 9, 1937 in Yakima, WA, the son of John and Mary Oravetz McDonald. Leslie was an U.S. Marine Corp Veteran, member of the Bath Church of Nazarene and a retiree of F.M. Howell Co. of Elmira, where he was a supervisor retiring in 1999 with over 40 years of service. Surviving are his wife Beverly Wilcox McDonald; son, Richard (Leslie) McDonald of Campbell; daughter, Tracey Pazzaglia of Elmira; step-sons, Donald (Marilyn) Taft of Corning, Ken (Sonya) Taft of Elmira, Kris (Patty) Taft of AZ; step-daughters, Mary (John) Taft of Wellsburg and Kimberly Taft of Corning; sister, Maxine (Jim) Low of Plummer, Idaho; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 3 cousins and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at the LaMarche Funeral Home, 35 Main Street, Hammondsport, where funeral services will be held Monday at 7PM. Rev Wil Kauffman will officiate. Interment will be at the Bath National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Hammondsport Vol. Ambulance Corp.
