HARRINGTON, Leslie George William - With his family by his side, peacefully on Sunday, May 18, 2008, in his 83rd year. Loving husband of Lorna Harrington (nee Sylvester); predeceased by his first wife of 51 years Ivy Harrington (nee Barnett); survived by children Gillian (Garth) Stewart, Christine (Terry) Stiller, Carol (Robert) Robinson, Derek (Debbie) Harrington, Janet (Geoff) Crawford, predeceased by sons Christopher (infancy), Robert (January 20, 1997) (Sue) Harrington; also survived by 32 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Step-father of Derek (Sue) Maloney, Kevin Maloney, Larry Maloney, Gord (AnnMarie) Maloney and seven step-grandchildren. Dear brother of Yvonne and her husband John; Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Les was very involved with the community. He was a life member and Past President of Branch 90 Royal Canadian Legion where he was on the Poppy Committee for many years. He served on the committee for the Brant County War Memorial, was a member and Past President of the Ex-Imperial Club, as well he was the Colour Commander for 27 years and organized the Robbie Burns Night for 14 years. Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford, on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. & 6-9 p.m. A Royal Canadian Legion Service under Auspices Branch #90, will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. Funeral service will be held, in the chapel on Thursday May 22, 2008 at 3 p.m. As requested by the family, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Aberdeen Community Care. www.dennistoll.ca 11093722
