Leona Elizabeth Morgan, 84, died unexpectedly at home in Concord Monday, December 26, 2011. Born in Concord, she was the daughter of Isaac Murray and May (Perry) Thorne. She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 25 years until her retirement. She was a long time member of The Good Sam Camping Club, Bow Young at Heart Club and was a member of Bow Mills Methodist Church.Leona enjoyed making crafts and yard sales. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth L. Morgan and by a son David Morgan. Survivors include her two sons Parker L. Morgan of Hill and Timothy I. Morgan of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; her two daughters Kendra M. Ricard of Bow and Debra E. Lockawich and her husband Stephen J. of Concord; her sister Marion Lehto; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Calling hour will be held Tuesday, January 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Concord.Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will take place in the spring.
