Leo A. Ouellette, 64, of Bellingham, MA passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. He was the beloved husband for 41 years of Larraine (Coughlin) Ouellette. He was the loving father of Rachel Peterson and her husband, Robert of Blackstone, MA, and leaves his cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua and Justin Peterson. Born in Framingham, MA on March 12, 1949, he was the son of the late Clement and Blanche (LaPointe) Ouellette. He was the brother of Joyce Woods of FL, Carol Giles of Bellingham, MA, Clement Sonny Ouellette of Framingham, MA, Theresa Weld of Ashland, MA, Charles Ouellette of NH, Lorraine Hoyte of Framingham, MA, Marlene Duclos of Tampa, FL, Gene Ouellette of Clinton, MA, Gerry Ouellette of Coral Springs, FL, and the late James Ouellette of Milford, MA. He was the brother-in-law of William Coughlin of Leominster, MA, Stanley Coughlin of Westborough, MA, Charles Coughlin of Shrewsbury, MA, John Coughlin of Northbridge, MA, Jane LaTerza and her husband, Steven of Warwick, RI. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. A resident of Bellingham for 35 years, formerly of Framingham and was a graduate of Framingham North High School Class of 1967. Leo was a union carpenter working for Local 475 of Ashland, MA for 40 years until retiring in 2009, and was a member of the E Board of the Union Local. He volunteered his work skills at St. Blaise Church and volunteered at the church bingo. Leo enjoyed fishing, hunting, loved gardening, birds and was a great cook. Among his greatest joys was caring for his grandson, Jacob. Devoted to his family and friends, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral will be held on Monday, April 1st at 8:00AM from CARTIERS FUNERAL HOME, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM at St. Blaise Church, 1158 So. Main St., Bellingham. Interment will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are on Saturday, March 30th from 4 to 7PM at the funeral home.
