LENA MAEFREEMAN, 93 LAKELAND - In loving memory, Lena Mae Freeman, devoted and beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family to be with her Lord February 2, 2011, due to complications resulting from a stroke. Formerly of Tallahassee, FL, she was residing in Lakeland, FL. Born December 20, 1917, in Iron City, Georgia, Lena was the fourth child of eleven born to Cora Lee (Anglin) Wiley and John Franklin (J. F.) Wiley and was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Victor Cummings, and Charles R. (Roy) Freeman, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Lena graduated from Abbeville High School, Abbeville, AL and trained for nursing in Donalsonville, GA under Dr. Chasson. She attended business school in Dothan, AL, was secretary to President/Manager of Sears in Dothan, AL, was head cashier at Sears, Tallahassee, FL for 20 years, and Credit/Lay-a-way Manager at J.C. Penney's in Tallahassee, FL for 21 years. Lena was an extraordinary woman and deeply loved by all she met. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra C. (Frank) Collins, Lakeland, FL; son, Jimmy C. (Gail) Cummings, Tallahassee, FL; sisters, Dorothy L. (Clarence) McCall Jacksonville, FL and Jewel (Clarence) Willis, Ellaville, GA; brother, Melbourne F. Wiley Havana, FL; sister-in-law, Ealmar S. Wiley; grandson, Frank D. (Cathy) Collins, Jr., Tallahassee, FL; granddaughters, Dana M. (Rob) Legendre, Lakeland, FL, Lori C. (Charles) Hamilton, Tallahassee, FL, and Kelly C. Magill, Tallahassee, FL, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Viewing will be Wednesday, February 9, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Abbey Funeral Home, 4037 North Monroe Street (Hwy 27), Tallahassee, FL, with services beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.
