INMAN, SC-- Lellwyn Bright Mathis, 93, of 63 Blackstock Road, formerly of 3051 Converse Circle, died Friday, June 23, 2006 at Magnolia Manor of Inman. A native of Cherokee County, Mrs. Mathis was the wife of the late Roy Dean Mathis and the daughter of the late Howard and Sally Mason Bright.Mrs. Mathis was an active member of Converse Baptist Church. Her life was centered around family, church, and the Converse Community. She was previously an inspector with Butte Knitting Co.Mrs. Mathis is survived by a son, Dennis Earl Mathis of Lilburn, GA; two daughters, Katherine M. Peahuff of Spartanburg and Lena M. Wilson of Newport Richey, FL; two brothers, Charles Bright of Spartanburg and Jack Bright of Virginia; three sisters, Ruth B. Bumgardner and Peggy B. Blackwell, both of Hickory, NC and Joyce B. Grant of Spartanburg; ten grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2006 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens officiated by Rev.
