HomemakerLAKELAND -- Mrs. Lelia Smith of Lakeland died of heart failure Friday (Feb. 27, 2004) at her home. She was 91.Born Nov. 2, 1912, in Elba, Ala., she was a longtime resident of Lakeland. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church.Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Smith. She is survived by her sons, Tommy W. Smith, Seffner, Franklin D. Smith, Vidalia, Ga., James B. Vann, Lakeland; daughters, Mary Kate Knowles, Lakeland, Maude Maular, Elba; and 24 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lanier Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
