UntitledLEILA MAE BROWN1917-2007Leila Mae Brown, age 90, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2007 at a local care facility. She was the daughter of Ernest and Stella Weekley. Mrs. Brown was a native of Bagdad and a lifelong resident of Ward Basin. She and her late husband, Ottis Brown, were the owners operators of Brown's Fish Camp on Yellow River for over 72 years. Mrs. Brown was a member of Hickory Hammock Baptist Church and also attended First Baptist Church of Milton. She loved gospel music and was a member of Hickory Hammock's choir. Mrs. Brown is also preceded in death by a sister, Marie Weekley; and a brother, Wilburn Weekley.Mrs. Brown is survived by her two daughters, Nancy (Scott) Ralston, of Pace, and Lillian (Gary) Nelson, of Milton; three grandchildren, Karen (Joe) MacGillivray, Sharon (Steve) Kator, and Sherie (John) Kiley; three great-grandchildren, Katie and Scotty MacGillivray, and Patrick Kiley; and her sister, Ernestine Williams, of Milton. Funeral services for Mrs. Brown will be 2:00PM, Monday, November 26, at Lewis Funeral Milton Chapel with Dr. David Spencer, the Rev. Johnnie Edwards, and the Rev. Rueben Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Hammock Community Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00PM, Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel.Pallbearers will be Buddy Jordan, Richard Coe, Ray Helms, Mike Solomon, Jerry Womack, Willie Bishop, Dr. Max Meredith, and Pete Pierce.Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Weekley, John Moore, Jessie Newberry Jr. Lunsford, and Gator Farrington.The family wishes to send a special "Thank You" to Covenant Hospice, Dr. George Antonious and his staff at Davita Dialysis.LEWIS FUNERAL HOME Milton Chapel will be in charge of arrangements.
