Lawrence E. Peters1928-2011Lawrence E. Peters, 82, passed away on April 16, 2011 with his wife of 62 years and his children and grandchildren by his side. Lawrence was born in St. Louis, MO on Oct. 28, 1928 to the late Edward and Olivia Peters. He later spent the majority of his life in Manassas, VA where he and his wife raised their 5 children and were active members of All Saints Catholic Church. In 1994 he retired and relocated to the Pensacola area. Lawrence is survived by his wife Mary Ellen, sister Jo Ellen Alvis; brother, Eugene Peters; daughters, Kathleen (Tom) Pollard, Maureen (Rodney) Wines, Missy (Charlie) Trinque; son, Matthew Peters, and preceded in death by his son, Thomas Peters; granddaughters Jessica Trinque and Elizabeth Kate Wines; grandsons, Phillip (Ann) Pollard, Charlie Trinque, Eric Pollard, Mark Pollard, Austin Wines and Jack Trinque; great-grandson Sailer Strickland; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 4:30 till 5:30pm at Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit on Wed., April 20; the funeral mass will be at 5:30 pm on Wed.; with a burial at Barrancas National Cemetery on Thur.
