Laurie Macdonald, née en 1952, conjointe de Bruce Ireland, fille de Ralph et Violet, mère de Conn, Drew et Parker, est décédée le 3 juillet 2008.
Laurie Macdonald Ireland, 55 JOLIET, Mont. -- Laurie Macdonald Ireland, 55, of Joliet, Mont., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 3, 2008. She was born in Portland on Aug. 12, 1952, the much awaited daughter of Ralph (Mac) and Violet (Vi) Macdonald, both deceased. Together, with her sister Heather, the family of four enjoyed fishing, hunting and skiing in Maine. Laurie graduated from Mary Hitchcock School of Nursing (now Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center) and was a loving and dedicated R.N. for many years. She served in both ICU and CCU in both New Hampshire and Montana. She moved to Montana many years ago to follow her love of the mountains and the lure of her fly fishing. While in Montana, she met her husband, Bruce Ireland, and married him June 7, 1986, on a mountain top amongst the wildflowers. There they fished, skied and hiked with their three dogs. Laurie was an immaculate housekeeper an albeit no easy task with their dogs shedding and constantly pressing their noses to the windows overlooking the mountain of Red Lodge, Mont. Laurie is survived by her husband Bruce of Joliet, Mont; and her sister, Heather Cole; as well as brother-in-law, Roy Cole of Scarborough; her niece Kathryn C. Damon and her husband Shawn Damon; and their two sons, Parker and Drew of Madison, Conn. A gathering of friends from Montana will take place in Montana at Laurie and Bruce's home on July 13, 2008, at 5 p.m. There will be no funeral.
