AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mrs. Laura Parks Jackson, of Amsterdam Drive, entered into rest Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 26, 2003, at 1 p.m., at B.A. Williams Memorial Chapel with Rev. Samuel D. Bussey officiating. Burial will be at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Lincolnton. Mrs. Jackson, a native of Richmond County, was a former nursing assistant at Salem Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Survivors are her two sons, Dennis D. Jackson, Deel A. Jackson, Augusta; two sisters, Angela M. Parks, Sheron D. Parks, Augusta; three brothers, John (Wanda) Parks, Kenneth (Valerie) Parks, Augusta, Carlton Parks, Washington, D.C.; one grandchild, Xiamara Jackson Reed; aunts, Ruth (Elmore) Hogan, Shirley Ramsey, Maddie (Frank) Trammell; uncles,, Clifford Johnson, Roosevelt Johnson;great aunt, Maude Williams; sisters-in-law, Lucille Parks, Marilyn Parks, Alberta Parks and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
