->WILLIAMS, Laura AnnAge 79 of Elmira, NY. She was born March 5, 1932 in Hendersonville, NC, daughter of the late Rev. Sloan S.S. and Laura B. (McClain) Hodges and passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at home. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jacqueline Prince and son, Herbert Williams, III and is survived by her children David Williams, Robert Williams, Cassandra (Jeffrey) Thomas, Annette (David) Grice and Pamela Holman; 5 grandchildren including Allahvelle Carston along with a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Williams was a member, trustee and president of the usher board for many years at Monumental Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to a remembrance gathering on Friday, March 18th from 3 to 6 pm at the VFW Post 901, 113 Keefe St., Elmira . In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Laura through donations to Monumental Baptist Church, 308 E. Clinton St., Elmira, NY 14901. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family.
