Retired Kimberly ClarkMYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Mr. Larry Mercer Smith, 76, husband of Mrs. Shirley Jones Smith, of 82 Heron Avenue, Myrtle Beach, SC, entered into rest on Monday, July 28th, 2014. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kelly Smith. Mr. Smith was born in Langley, SC to the late Archie Mercer and Lucille Thompson Smith. He retired from Kimberly Clark Corporation with 17 years of service and he was a member of Langley United Methodist Church. Surviving with his wife Shirley, are four children: Barry Smith (Lisa), of North Augusta, SC, Tim Smith, of Steifeltown SC, Lester Smith, of Bath, SC and Denise Watson (Charlie), Aiken, SC; two sisters, Bonnie Whatley (late Sam), of Edgefield, SC and Diane Arrington (Ernest), of Beech Island, SC; two brothers, Ronell Smith (Louise) , of Gloverville, SC and Travis Smith (Linda), of Langley, SC; four grandchildren: Kip Smith (Cami), Ashley Hofstra (Zach), Barry "BJ" Smith and Justin Atkinson and seven great grandchildren: Corbin Smith, Sophie Hofstra, Skylar Hofstra and Garrett, Cheyanne, Gage and Keegan Seibert. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday at 2 o'clock in the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richie Enlow officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Barry Smith, Tim Smith, Lester Smith, Charlie Watson, Tookie Wheat and Sam Whatley, Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Langley United Methodist Church, Roof Fund, P.O.
