Larry S. Smith, age 61, of Crystal River, FL died January 9, 2009 at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of Citrus County. He was born on January 23, 1947 in Dalton, GA to Worth and Amelia (Thacker) Smith. Larry moved to Citrus County 3 years ago from Colorado Springs, CO. He was a Master Sgt., U.S. Air Force, Retired with 22 years of service. Larry was Baptist, Past Vice President of the Corvette Club in Colorado Springs. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Smith and his sister, Linda Seay. Survived by his wife, Victoria Smith of Crystal River, FL; his mother, Amelia Thacker Smith of Atlanta, GA; one son Michael Smith of Colorado Springs, CO; one sister, Jane Burdette of Atlanta, GA. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Lecanto, FL. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the Funeral Home followed by burial at the Florida National Cemetery where full military honors will be given by the MacDill AFB 6th AMW Honor Guard.
