MILLER, Larry Born November 21, 1910 passed away March 27, 2006. Larry was a veteran and a member of the Calgary Highlanders, an adventurous scout leader and a popular teacher at Mt. Newton school for 25 years specializing in "the arts. " Retirement found him continuing his love for art and music with the delightful "Group of XIV", singsongs with the family and 'the gang', the Clark Greek parties, the Birch and Bain New Years Eve celebrations, the murals, the costumes... "Those were the days my friends." His creativity continued with his writing, publishing a book of memoirs, poetry and art. We're deeply grateful to the caring staff and friends at "Cedars" for their love. Larry adored his sister, Aileen and she lovingly cared for him throughout the years. "Good food good wine, good cheer. " He is predeceased by his sister, Helen, and his parents. He is survived by his sister Aileen, son Brian, two granddaughters and two greatgrandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. A service will be held at St. Michael & All Angels, West Saanich Road, Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
