JOHNSON, Rev. Larry Marvin Passed away on Saturday, April 2nd, 2005, at Metropolitan Hospital. He is survived by his wife Florence; brothers: Gorman and wife Joyce, Maurice, Colin, Cranston, and predeceased by sisters Mae Caston (1967) and Audrey Wilson (2001). Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Larry worked for the City of Windsor from 1964 to 1993 when he retired. He was ordained in 1974 in the B.M.E. Church of Canada and pastored churches in Chatham and Windsor. He was a member of Bedford United Church, Windsor, and served as steward and lay preacher after retirement. He sang in choirs, raising his voice to the Lord for over 60 years. Visitation at the Morris Sutton Funeral Home, 68 Giles Blvd. East, on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Visiting on Thursday, April 7th, at Bedford United Church, 3340 Sandwich St., from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ann Corbett officiating. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to Bedford United Church.
