Larry L. Miller, 63, Elkhart died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011 at his residence. He was born Jan. 12, 1948 in Denver, Colo. to Lawrence E. Miller and Adeline R. (Weatherton) Rose. On Oct. 27, 1979 he married Sharon S. (Hughes-Alabaugh) Miller in Elkhart. She survives. A graduate of Jimtown High School class of 1967, Larry later served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed with Jessen Manufacturing for more than 38 years. Larry enjoyed working with computers, collecting elephants, eagles and was known by all at the IHOP in Goshen. He truly loved his family and many friends. He was a lifetime member of the DAV #19.Other survivors include a sister, Patti Miller, Elkhart; two daughters; one step-son; one step-daughter; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by step-parents Jean Miller and Johnnie Rose; one great-grandson, Adam. Visitation is from 4-6 p.m. today at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo. Military graveside honors will be rendered by the United States Air Force and American Legion Post 81 Honor Guard.Memorial contributions may be made to the Larry Miller Memorial Fund, c/o First Federal Savings Bank.
