Larry Fredrick Smith, age 66, of Florence, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, at UAB Hospital. He was a native of Colbert County and had lived in Florence for the past 66 years.The visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Greenview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating at the service will be Kenneth Davis.He was preceded in death by his father, Toy Smith; daughter, Debra Morgan; and a sister, Mary Faye Montgomery.He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Diane Harvey Smith; daughter, Lisa Letson and husband, Doug; mother, Opal Smith; grandchildren, Steven Letson and fiancé, Kelly Hall, Nathan Letson and fiancé, Michelle Stratz, Casey Morgan and wife, Ashlee, Justin Letson and wife, Lora, and Shawna Morgan; brother, Billy Smith and wife, Omie; sisters, Peggy Willan and Judy Blasingame and husband, Billy; great-grandson, Case Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Steven Letson, Nathan Letson, Justin Letson, Casey Morgan, Jason Smith and Neal Smith.Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Tate, Bobby Jeffreys, Jesse Brown and Bill Young.Greenview Funeral Home, of Florence, is directing.
