LARRY BRANTLEYSMITH, 67Farmland Industry LAKELAND - Mr. Larry Brantley Smith, 67, passed away Saturday (Oct. 17, 2009) peacefully in his home due to diabetes. He was born in Donalsonville, GA., on Nov. 24, 1941, and retired from Farmland Industry in Bartow. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his mother Katie Mae Smith (Croom). He is survived by his father I.E. Smith; sister Landa Cameron; daughters, Branda McHaffie, Sondra Grubbs; son, Beau Deaver Smith; grandchildren: Chris, Julie, Jon, Tim, and Epiphany. Funeral services will be held privately with immediate family. Larry will be laid to rest next to his mother in Auburndale Memorial Park. Anyone who wishes can donate to Florida Baptist Children's Home in Larry's memory to honor him, as he was always such a giving person in life. He will be missed by family and friends. As L.B. probably would have said "Later Gator, I've gone to the swamp".
