Louise N. (Starr) Wright, 92, of 125 Quaker Hill Lane, Portsmouth, RI, formerly of Yonkers, NY, died Saturday, July 29, 2006, at home. She was the wife of the late Willaim Wright. Born in Lehigh County, PA, on October 5, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Kate (Norconk) Starr. Mrs. Wright was a Graduate of the Methodist Episcopal Hospital School of Nursing and took post graduate work surgery courses in New York City at the Polyclinic Hospital. She had worked for two plastic surgeons for forty years, and had her own electrolysis practice on Park Avenue in New York City. She was a member of the North Yonkers Community Church, where she formerly served on the board. Mrs. Wright had been an active volunteer at St. Johns Hospital in Yonkers, NY, and had served on the Board of Trustees at the Baptist Home for the Aged. She was also a member of the Morsemere Garden Club in Yonkers. She is survived by a daughter Elizabeth "Betty" and her husband Paul McEnroe of Middletown, RI, and a brother Woodrow and his wife Jean Starr of Willow Creek, PA.
