Louise-Louis Johnson, née en 1900, conjointe de Mount-Dora-Yacht Club, fille de George et Emma-Lorimor, mère de Marilyn, est décédée le 27 décembre 2003 à l'âge de 103 ans. Veuillez consulter son avis de décès ici:
JOHNSON, LOUISE LOUIS, 103, died December 27, 2003 at her residence in Mount Dora. She was born to the late George H. and Emma Lorimor Lewis on October 7, 1900 at Des Moines, Iowa. She and her husband participated in long distance cruising as sustaining members of the Mount Dora Yacht Club. She was a charter member of the founder's circle of the Lakes and Hills Garden Club, from which she holds a silver cup as, "most valuable member". She was a gifted gardener and was involved in helping landscape many of the public buildings in Mount Dora. During WWII, she worked in the U.S.O. and in aircraft spotting. She was an accomplished oil painter, and leaves behind numerous beautiful paintings. She won numerous tri-colors and blue ribbons in flower arrangement. Louise swam in Lake Gertrude almost every day for many years, until just last summer. She continued to walk along the shore of the beautiful lake every day but her last. She was a shining example of a beautiful woman, with a generous, loving heart. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Armer Johnson, who was the Chairman of the Board of the Seald - Sweet Growers, Inc. when he retired in 1972. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn Burkart. Survivors include her grandson, John Burkart; granddaughter, Louise Burkart. Memorial services will be at 11AM Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at ALLEN J. HARDEN FUNERAL HOME.
