Kenneth Wayne Johnson Kenneth Wayne Johnson, 36, died from drowning Friday, April 2, 2004, in Franklin County. A service of memory will be at noon CDT today at First Baptist Church Calera in Calera, Ala., with pastor Roger Shack officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Westside Funeral Home in Calera (205-668-1188) is handling arrangements.A native of Shelby County, Ala., he was a foreman and a longtime employee of Don's Tree Service in Tallahassee. He was a member of First Baptist Church Calera. His loving survivors include his devoted mother, Vera Sue Johnson Baker; six children, Kenneth Johnson Jr. C.J. Johnson, Julius Johnson, Kenetra Foster, Jasmine Johnson and Kenyatta Johnson; his father, Walter McCary Jr.; six brothers and sisters, Samuel Baker, Kevin Shirley, Paul Mahaffey, Essie Leonard (and husband Carnell), Paula Martin (and husband Derrius) and Regina Brown (and husband Chris); and his loving grandparents, Irene Gilliand and Etherine McCary.
