BATCHELDER, Kenneth Thomas III "Tommy B Bass" Passed away St. Valentine's Day, 2010 in New Port Richey. Born March 1, 1963 in Chicago, IL. Tommy was a professional Bassist, Vocalist & Audio Sound Engineer. Tommy left the "windy city" in '84 for California and met with super stars like Verdeen White (Earth, Wind & Fire), Janet Jackson & The Gap Band. He auditioned for Metallica. In '87 he moved to Texas and opened for major label acts like Carmine Appiece, George Lynch's Mob, White Zombie and Panterra. Tommy arrived in Florida in '93 where he continued his music career and was well known in the Tampa Bay music community. He kept his skills sharp by hosting or attending "open mike" jams in the area. Survived by fiancee Charlotte Higgins, Tarpon Springs; father and stepmother, Kenneth Batchelder II and Patricia, IL; mother Jacquelyn Ryan, FL; brother Tim Batchelder; sisters, Tara Dixon and Tisa Batchelder, all of IL; uncles J.D., Jim, John and Geoff Ryan; 1 nephew; and 1 niece.
