BROCKTON Kenneth R. Norris, a retired auto parts salesman for Fredricson Bros. in Norwell, died Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton. He was 70 years of age. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in the Alston Brighton area and was a graduate of Alston High School. He lived in Brockton for 40 years. He had served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Ken had also worked for Allied Auto Parts in earlier years. He was very involved in and enjoyed the the St. Kevins Emerald Knights Drum and Bugle Corps. He loved to bowl and was in many leagues at the Westgate Lanes in Brockton. He also coached Little League in Brockton. He was the beloved father of Kenneth R. Norris married to Michelle of Brockton and Brian Michael Norris of Taunton; and former husband of the late Jayne C. (Rose) Norris-Butson. One of six siblings, he is survived by his sister, Claire Colman of Foxboro. He was the proud grandfather of Kenneth D. Norris of Brockton and James R. Norris of Stoughton. Relative and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the McDonald Funeral Home, South Weymouth, at 809 Main St. (Rte. 18 opposite South Shore Hospital), Wednesday evening, 4-8 p.m. A private interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, will take place at a later date.
