KENNETH LEEBARBER, 75State of Kentucky LAKELAND - Mr. Kenneth Lee Barber 75, of Lakeland, formerly of Murray, Kentucky, died of cancer Saturday, June 11, 2011 at his home. Mr. Barber, a 1962 graduate of Murray State University, and an Army veteran, was a former member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ in Murray, Kentucky and was a current member of the Lake Morton Methodist Church in Lakeland, Florida. He worked in various roles for the State of Kentucky before retiring from the Court system in 2000. Mr. Barber loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He was involved in numerous activities in his local communities. He was born May 14, 1936 in Louisville, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Joyce McCage Barber of Lakeland, Florida; daughter, Stacie Barber Steiner of Lakeland, Florida; two sons, Keith Barber and wife Suellen of McKinney, Texas, and Tim Barber and wife Lynn of San Diego, California; also six grandchildren, Alex, Emily, Nick and Casey Barber, Allie Roney and Cameron Steiner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Barber and one son, Marc Barber. Memorial service will be held Monday, June 20, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church on Lake Morton Drive in Lakeland, Florida.
