Finn, Kay MENANDS Kay Finn, 81, of Menands, died peacefully on January 22, 2014 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Finn, who died August 7, 2003. Kay was the daughter of the late Karl Flint and Ruth (Varlow) Flint of Moira, N.Y. In addition to her husband of 49 years, she was predeceased by her son, Joseph Finn, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Finn of Albany, Tom (Maria) Finn, of Outerbanks, N.C., Susan (Theodore) Van Galen of Clifton Park and Dan Finn of Menands. Also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph and Samantha Finn of North Carolina and Teddy and Ryan VanGalen of Clifton Park; also by her twin brother, Karl (Martha) Flint of Moira. Kay was a graduate of SUNY Potsdam, where she received her bachelor of science degree in elementary education. Over the course of Kay's life, she was involved in many community events and charities; Ladies of Charity and Capital District Psychiatric Center, to name a few. Kay's passion in life was the care of her family and friends. In her spare time she enjoyed golf, tennis, bowling, and bridge. She had many fond memories over the years at Wolferts Roost Country Club, where her late husband was a lifetime member and past president. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 27, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Tebbutt Funeral Home, 633 Central Ave., Albany followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. to be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Loudonville. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. A calling hour will precede the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Many thanks go out to the staff at Albany Memorial Hospital for the care and support during this time.
