HAMPTON FALLS, N.H. -- KathyLynn Grado, 48, of Hampton Falls, N.H., formerly of Lunenburg, Mass., died Friday, Dec. 6, in her sleep.Born Feb. 24, 1954, in Bristol, Tenn., she was the daughter of John and Kathryn Grado. She attended Applewild School in Fitchburg, Mass. After receiving her GED she studied at the Museum School at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Mass. She was an admired photographer and painter. She loved gardening, sailing, and was an enthusiastic and generous supporter of animal rights causes and humane shelters.Competitive by nature she competed in numerous recreational ski races, including Nastar, and the Mistubishi Motors national ski series of which she earned top honors in her class. She at one time qualified for the national finals in Couer d’Alene, Idaho, placing fourth in the two-day giant slalom competition. A certified deep-water diver, she especially appreciated the waters off Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.She leaves one daughter, Summer Rebecca Mahoney of Los Angeles, Calif.; her father, John Grado of Marco Island, Fla.; her mother, Kathryn Davis Grado of Lunenburg; three sisters, Leighann Grado Bates of Shrewsbury, Mass., Kristina Grado of Cambridge, Mass., and Pamela Grado Lazecki of Daytona Shores, Fla.; her maternal grandmother, Mabel Biddle Davis of Crumpton, Md.; her longtime companion, Donald C. Roy and his son, Kyle, of Hampton Falls; two aunts; two uncles; and five cousins.GRADO -- On Dec. 6, KathyLynn Grado, 48, of Hampton Falls, N.H., formerly of Lunenburg, Mass. A funeral service will be held Thursday morning, Dec. 12, at 11:30 a.m. in the Rye Congregational Church, Washington Road, Rye, N.H. Interment will be held privately in Crumpton, Md. and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dogs for Disabled Americans, NEADS National Office, P.O.
