Kathy Smith a resident of Mt. Vernon passed away on Wednesday December 17, 2008. She was 60 years old. Kathy was born in Raleigh Mississippi on December 9, 1948 and was the daughter of Annie Joyce Smith and the late Billy Q. Ducksworth. She retired from the Art - O -Rama after 26 years of service. Kathy loved cooking big meals for her family, watching the old black & white T.V. movies and shopping with her daughter. Besides her mother she is survived by her daughter Shawnta Smith and her son Kenneth Flowers and her loving grandchildren Bria Smith-Haughton, Skylar Christine T. Flowers and Amber Livermon. She is also survived her two brothers and one sister. Family will receive visitors on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. A funeral home chapel service will be on Monday at 10 AM. Burial will be private.
