SMITH Kathleen (Katie) (nee Gough) January 17, 1945 - November 4, 2008 Katie left her journey with cancer in the loving circle of her family and entered peacefully into the arms of her Lord. She was born in Vancouver and attended UBC. For 33 years she and her young family lived in 100 Mile House where she gave her love and inspiration to the teaching of young children. She is survived by her devoted husband Gary of 42 years, her son Davin (Adina), her daughter Morikke Espenhain (Jerry), three grandchildren; Sebastian Oliver, Victoria Peyton and Niva Kathleen, and two brothers Grant (Joyce) and Barry (Sandra). A service to remember her wonderful smile, her loving and giving heart, and her quiet intelligence will be held at the church she worshipped and sang in - First Baptist (Burrard and Nelson) on Sunday November 16 at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, support for Keats Camps would be appreciated. She is indebted to the kindness of people who donate blood, the care of her doctors, the BC Cancer Agency staff and her pray full and loving friends.
