Kathleen Scippio Perry, age 68, resident of Lake City, Fla. passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009 in Live Oak, Fla. Suwannee Health Care, terminating an extended illness. She attended the public schools of Columbia County and was a graduate of Richardson High School class of 1959. She attended Florida Normal College in St. Augustine, Fla. She retired from Northeast Florida State Hospital in 1999 after over a 30 years of service as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Kathleen, was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board and assisted with the youth Dept. faithfully until her health began to fail. She was also a member of the Exclusive 22 Social Club where she held the position of Chaplin for many years. Kathleen possessed a warm and gentle Spirit. She will be missed by all her family and friends. Survivors include her children, three loving and devoted daughters, Venecia Duhart, Katrina and Pamela Perry. Two sons, Kelvin (Jean) and Reginald (Donna) Perry. Eleven grandchildren; one great granddaughter. One sister, Mary Etta Hicks. One brother, Edgar Scippio. Nine sisters-in-law, five brothers-in-law, a special son, Anthony Duhart, an exceptionally devoted niece, Leila Williams, a special nephew, Gregory Parker. Two special loved ones, Ravohn Edwards and Rene' Perry, nephew. A host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Kathleen Scippio Perry, will be 11:00a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009 at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church; Rev. Isadore L. Williams, officiating; Rev. Alvin J. Baker, Pastor, Eulogy. Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 13, 2009 at Cooper Funeral Home, Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the care of COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 251 NE Washington Street; Lake City, Fla. 32055.
