Kathleen-Regina Casey, fille de William-N et Katherine, est décédée le 27 juillet 2012.
Casey, Kathleen R. ALBANY Forever 39. Kathleen Regina "Jean" Casey, died peacefully on Friday, July 27, 2012. Daughter of the late William N. and Katherine (O'Brien) Casey, Miss Casey was a life-long Albany resident and graduate of Saint Anne's High School in Albany's South End. She and her sister Mildred were employed at General Electric during World War II and then both moved to positions at the New York Telephone Company in Albany where they worked until retirement. Miss Casey was a member of the volunteer organization, the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a long-time communicant of the former St. James and Saint Teresa of Avila parishes. Jean was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond, Gerald, and William; sisters, Mildred and Joan (Cappellano); and nephew, Michael Casey. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by, her brother, Donald of Albany; her 13 nieces and nephews and extended family. Our beautiful Aunt Jean will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her generosity, and her fashion sense and style. She was a welcoming conversationalist, babysitter extraordinaire, and a charming hostess at her annual Christmas gatherings. Jean and her sister Mildred would often pile their nieces and nephews into Jean's sky blue Cadillac for shopping excursions or vacation trips to New York City, Atlantic City, and beyond. Her nieces and nephews will cherish the memories of being spoiled with Pepsi sodas, chocolate, and ice cream sundaes. The best gifts at Christmas or birthdays came in presents from the "Irish Aunties". Those wishing to celebrate Jean's life are invited to attend her funeral Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at The Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell St., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Mater Christi Church on Tuesday prior to Mass from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow the Mass in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont, N.Y.
