Fleming Fleming, Kathleen Perkins, 89, of Petersburg, VA died March 4, 2003 after a short illness in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She is survived by her son, Frank Perkins of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her two granddaughters, Cynthia P. Coningsby of Ft. Lauderdale, and Robin Perkins of St. Petersburg, FL; her three great grandchildren, Ward, Reid, and Cayla Coningsby of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her stepdaughter Ms. Judi Barros of Petersburg, VA and her two step granddaughters, Ms. Jennifer Cooley, and Miss Heather Barros of Richmond, VA. In Petersburg Mrs. Fleming was a lifelong member of Washington Street Methodist Church where she served on the official board and sang in the choir for many years. She was an active member of AARP and faithfully served as a volunteer at Southside Regional Hospital and the Salvation Army. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, 5555 N. Federal Highway in Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33308 on March 8, 2003 at 10 AM. A graveside ceremony will take place at a later date in Petersburg, VA. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society.
