JOHNSON, Kathleen Mary March 14th, 1920 - September 14th, 2012 It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen Mary Johnson. Mary passed away peacefully, having lived a long and, in her own words, satisfying and enjoyable life. Mary had a successful career in nursing beginning in 1938 when she entered general nurses training at Oldchurch County Hospital in Romford, Essex, England. Mary later immigrated to Canada and completed a nursing degree. She went on to what she described as the most exciting and rewarding five years of her life, as a nurse administrator in Inuvik and Toktoyaktuk. She retired to Victoria where she enjoyed many years of health. Left to remember Mary are cousins and friends in Canada and England, including her dear friend in Victoria, Irene Watkins. In lieu of flowers, Mary expressed the wish that donations be made to Help Fill a Dream Foundation at Unit D 4085 Quadra Street, Victoria, British Columbia.
