->Casey, Kathleen M. "Katie"Kathleen "Katie" M. Casey, a resident of White Plains, NY for 40 years, died on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. Katie was born on April 28, 1946 in New Rochelle, NY and raised in Mamaroneck, NY. Katie was the daughter to the late John James & Charlotte McNeil. Survived by her husband of 44 years, John D. Casey III, daughters Christine (Steve)Schulz, Lauren (Eric) Woolf, and Shannon Casey , sons John D. Casey IV (Sandra), Stephen (Adina) Casey, as well as Katie's sister Charlotte King of Mamaroneck.Also survived by her 8 grandchildren, her pride & joy - Sydney, Jack & Dylan Woolf, Justin & Christopher Schulz and Jack, Colin & Aiden Casey.Katie graduated from Holy Trinity grammar school in Mamaroneck, Resurrection High School in Rye & Westchester Community College in Valhalla, NY. Katie also graduated with honors from Mercy College.She was a longtime active parishioner at Our Lady of Sorrows in White Plains and a longtime member of their Women's Guild, as well as Girl Scout Troop Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother, and class mother.Katie was also a 20-year member of Westchester Country Club and former Chairwoman of their "Big Little Show".She was an Administrative Assistant for the Arts & Humanities Department at Westchester Community College, and was recently promoted to the same position for the Dean of Academic Affairs. During her tenure at Westchester Community College she received a Staff Excellence Award in 2006 with over thirty recommendations. Katie enjoyed playing tennis, golf, knitting, and exercising. She cherished watching her grandchildren at their many sports & school-related activities, planning the Casey Family traditional Sunday night dinners and spending time with her many friends.Memorial donations may be made to: Pancreatic Research via the Lustgarten Foundation, www.lustgarten.org.Visiting hours are Thursday 6-9pm and Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be Saturday 10am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church.
