MERIDEN - Kathleen (Katie) Kosko Smith, 40, departed this life on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at the MidState Medical Center in Meriden. She was the beloved wife of Jeffery Smith.She was born in Meriden on May 7, 1971, a daughter of John James and Georgia (Cestaro) Kosko. Katie found her greatest joy in being a mother and raising her beloved daughter Sarah. She had a great love for traveling to Disney World with her family. She enjoyed long rides on the motorcycle in the evenings with her husband Jeff. Katie was a lover of animals, most of all her three dogs, Sophie, Lucy and Berta.In addition to her husband and parents, she will be sadly missed by her daughter, Sarah Diane Chagnon. She was predeceased by a brother, John J. Kosko, Jr.Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, Oct. 31, at 111 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, 235 Pond Hill Road., Wallingford. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
