Kathleen Carter, née en 1920, fille de Price et Ella-Augustine, est décédée le 15 janvier 2010. Veuillez consulter son avis de décès ici:
CARTER, Kathleen (nee Augustine), called Kay August 19, 1920 - January 15, 2010 Kay passed away peacefully surrounded by family members. She considered herself fortunate in her life experiences. She was born in Penticton, and grew up in New Westminster. Although her father, Price Augustine died when she was 8, her mother Ella Augustine Daniels, her Grandmother Lee and her Aunt Emma gave her an enriching young life that she shared with her sister, Val Porter, now of Peterborough, Ontario. She married her best friend Ron Carter, also of New Westminster. Together, they raised seven children in North Vancouver. She will be remembered by her children Lee Carter, David Carter, Ann Metcalfe, Marie Trewella, Price Carter, Steve Carter and Nancy Carter, along with their various fine partners, seven grandsons, seven granddaughters, one great grandson and many other friends and relatives in North Vancouver and other places where she had visited and lived. One plank in Kay's philosophy of life is expressed in a quote by Etienne de Grellet: I shall pass through this world but once. If, therefore, there be any kindness I can show, Or any good thing I can do, let me do it now... For I shall not pass this way again. A gathering to celebrate Kay and share stories of her life will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, January 24th at Mt Seymour United Church, 1200 Parkgate Avenue, North Vancouver. No flowers please.
