Smith, Kathleen C. EAST GREENWICH, R.I. Kathleen C. (Mulderry) Smith, 70, of East Greenwich, RI and formerly of Chestnut Hill and Hingham, Mass., passed away November 9, 2010. She was the wife of the late Dennis C. Smith. Born in Albany, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late William and Kathleen (Dempsey) Mulderry and stepdaughter of the late Amy (Kane) Mulderry. Mrs. Smith had been an elementary education teacher in the Boston area. She is survived by her stepchildren, Mark and his wife Julia, Stephen and his wife Ann, Denise Smith and her husband Merle MacIsach, Amy Luciano and her husband Joe, Christopher and his wife Amy, Gregory and his wife Mary Beth and Jeremy and his wife Jill; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandson; a brother, William "Buzzy" Mulderry and his wife Anne; a sister, Patricia Bach; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late, Mary Mulderry Smith; aunt of the late, Stephen V. Mulderry; and sister-in-law of the late, John "Jack" Bach. Kathy was the consummate optimist. Always cheerful and ready to give innumerable compliments to all. She made everyone around her smile. Her greatest achievement in life is the amount of love she received from family and a multitude of faithful friends. Kathy's life was a ray of sunshine even on the cloudiest days. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 12 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, Cowesett Rd., Warwick, R.I. Visitation prior to Mass 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich, R.I. Burial will take place Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in St. Agnes Cemetery, Colonie, N.Y.
