Homemaker AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Kathleen Brown, age 86, entered into rest on Sunday morning, December 3, 2006 at University Hospital. A native of Danville, Va., she had resided in the Augusta area for approximately 50 years. Mrs. Brown's family recalls her love of watching Christian programming, reading her Bible and visiting friends and family when ill or in need. Prior to her declining health, she enjoyed cooking for others. She was a sweet and generous mother, grandmother and great grandmother; and a member of the First Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur "W.W." Brown, who passed away in 1984. She is survived by 2 daughters, Brenda Jackson and her husband Owen, Martinez, Ga. and Beth Black and her husband Jim, Evans, Ga.; 4 grandchildren, Kim Armstrong, Melissa Clevenger, Stephen Black, Rachel Black; 3 great grandchildren, Caitlin Jackson, Kimberly Clevenger, Chase Armstrong; 1 niece and 2 nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at the First Assembly of God, 1613 Fenwick Street with Reverend Baxter Stanley officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown, Ga. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., on Tuesday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, Ga.
