Kathleen M. Braun "Kathy" Valparaiso Kathleen M. Braun, age 93 of Valparaiso, formerly of Gary's West Side, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2005. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Gary and presently a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Valparaiso. Kathy loved the arts, music, reading, knitting, swimming and birds, especially the cardinal. Kathy was known for her kindness, intelligence, independence and humerous remarks. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Vince Weber. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Carl Braun of Valparaiso; her son: David Braun (Sherry Farley) of Valparaiso; granddaughter, Traci Braun of Miller; nephew: Steven (Nancy) Weber and many loving friends. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2005, 10 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Valparaiso, 3400 N. Valparaiso Street. Friends may visit with the family at the church immediately following the memorial service. Burns Funeral Home, Crown Point in charge of arrangements.
