Funeral services to celebrate the life of Kathi Smith will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Praters Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon until 1:30 p.m., at the Liberty Mortuary, before the service.Kathi Riggins Smith, 48, of 168 Two Creek Trail, died Sunday, December 10, 2006, at Palmetto Health Baptist. Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of Richard and Shelby Jean Smith Riggins of Six Mile.She worked in the accounting department at Champion Aerospace, and was a member of Praters Creek Baptist Church.Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Parker R. Smith of the home; a son, Matthew Smith of the home; a daughter, Kailey Smith of the home; a stepson, Eric Smith of Seneca, and a stepdaughter, Angie Howard and her husband Robert of Six Mile; a brother, Andy Riggins of Six Mile; four sisters, San Howard of Lavonia, Ga., Renee Thrift and Connie Medlock, both of Six Mile, and Jennifer Williams of Seneca; three grandchildren, Cayden, Tucker, and Elijah Howard; a niece, Stephanie Howard; and four nephews, Chris Thrift, Davis and Jake Medlock, and Kai Williams.The family will be at the home.
