Katherine W. Ryan, 86, of Monroe Township, N.J., died on Monday, July 21, 2014, at her daughter's residence. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014, from the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Rd., Monmouth Junction, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 47 Skillman Road, Skillman, N.J. Entombment will follow in the Holy Cross Burial Park. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Born in South Brunswick, N.J., Katherine was a lifelong resident. She was employed for many years as a nurse with the Roosevelt Hospital, Edison, N.J. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Church. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Florence (Kern) Werner, and wife of the late Eugene J. Ryan. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Deirdre Ryan; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen L. and Jay Brennan; a brother, George Werner; a sister, Shirley Bodine; six grandchildren, Shawn, Melissa, Timothy, Katie, Kevin, and Patrick, and eight great-grandchildren, Andrew, Karina, Teagan, Matthew, Ryan, Madison, Dillon, and Taylor.
