Survivors include: four daughters, Bernice Battle, Arnita Suarez, Debra Hobson, and Tamarra Harris; five sons, Vernon, David, and Reuben Smartt, Michael and Eric Bailey; eight sisters, Louise Woods, Mary Smartt, Velma Eason, Thelma and Roberta Smartt, Pinkie Smith, JoAnne Smartt, and Vera Burwell; two brothers, James Smartt and Emmett Smart, 36 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Today, March 16th at Saint Bartley P.B. Church with Dr. William T. Gladys officiating. Interment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Mrs. Bailey will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
