Katherine S. Hale Katherine S. Hale, 42, of Springfield, died January 1, 2007, in her home. She was born July 6, 1964, to Sue C. (Wallace) and Lawrence L. Hale, who survive. Katherine was a veteran having served with the Marines and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. In addition to her parents, survivors include two brothers, Kevin Hale and Kenny Hale and his wife, Charlotte; grandmother Mabel Wallace and nieces, Allison and Lindsey Hale. Also surviving is a special cousin, Leslie Lauramore and her children. A visitation will be held this evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Midtown, 1635 N. Benton, Springfield. Graveside services will be held Friday, January 5, at 10 a.m. at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
