Survivors include stepchildren Richard Hale and Barbara H. Johnson; and nieces Sarah Chamberlain and Mary Davison.Born in Detroit, she attended Butler University in Indiana and The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was the private secretary to Helen B. Joy in Detroit. She did extensive genealogical research. Her cremated remains will be interred in Arlington Nation Cemetery next to her husband, the late Herbert R. Hale.
