Katherine (Silva) Hall, formerly of Bridgewater, passed away Jan. 20, 2011. She had family and friends at her side in Falmouth. Born June 26, 1926, to Aurora and Augustus Silva, she grew up in Bridgewater with five brothers and two sisters. She was the last surviving member of the eight children. She loved her family, friends, school and church. She graduated from Bridgewater High School and went on to graduate from Bryant & Stratton. She was very proud of her job as a legal secretary for Judge Robert Prince of Brockton and always cherished her friendship with the Prince family. In 1952, she married and lived in Brockton and later in North Easton, Sharon and Foxboro before returning to live in her hometown of Bridgewater and more recently in Falmouth. During her career, she worked for Cumberland Farms and later for the Bank of Boston Real Estate Department at the main office in Boston. She loved the excitement of the city and her job and friends at the Bank of Boston. She was a wonderful and caring mother and friend who loved being involved in her children's lives including the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. She also loved family gatherings, trips to Cape Cod, going to see the Pops, the arts, sports on tv, reading, shopping, going to Friendly's and a good cup of coffee. She leaves her two children, who will miss her dearly, daughter, Nancy (Hall) and Scott (Emlong); and son, Bill (Hall); along with many nieces nephews, family members and friends. We will remember her with a smile and many wonderful memories, and she will live in our hearts and with those who loved her forever. A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 28, in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater. Burial St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Bridgewater.
